The death of a loved one can be very traumatic. Bereavement affects people in many different ways and can cause emotional and behavioural problems that affect your whole life.
The emotions can be normal feelings to a situation that is not normal, so we have no idea of how to cope. There’s no right or wrong way to feel. Emotions can be confusing and overwhelming, often like waves in the sea – some smaller and some bigger.
Sometimes feeling like you’re losing your sanity and unable to do anything. Grief might at times feel chaotic and out of control.
Brent Bereavement Services (BBS) aims to offer high quality responsive and professional services for people who request bereavement counselling or related advice. The services are for any Brent resident of whatever age, culture, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or disability, and is provided by suitably selected, trained and supervised Voluntary Bereavement Counsellors on a regular basis.
